 I have been using the Stampin Up Dasher stamp quite a bit lately.  This is the card I had for everyone to make at the fundraiser Business event a week ago.  I will also have this for the make & take at my next event which is a Craft Fair/Business Event in Waverly, IA.  I even made a few just to sell. 

This uses the Dasher stamp from the "under $10" page 208 of the current Idea Book & Catalog.  It has been every popular with many demonstrators & stampers.  Also used is a snowflake from the Snow Swirled stamp set on page 36 & the Sizzix Big Shot  from page 194.  The beautiful poinsetta cardstock is made using the Textured Impressions Folder called Petals-A-Plenty from page 21 of the Holiday Mini Catalog. The cardstock used was Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip & Kraft.  The Kraft was stamped with Dasher & then sponged around the edge with the Chocolate Chip ink.  Isn't it just beautiful?  It was so easy to make.

Corduroy Button & 1/2 inch Striped Grosgrain Ribbon Share

Recently a customer asked if I would do a Ribbon Share as she would like to buy the ribbon but there is too much on a roll of just one color for her to use.  I told her I would look into this & then our Online Extravaganza came up with the Corduroy Buttons & 1/2 inch Grograin Ribbon on it.  I thought this was a perfect time to try it out.  You can see the details below. 

Corduroy Buttons & Brads pack-

Normally the pack consists of 24 pieces, 8 each of 3 different buttons & brads.  The regular price with tax & s/h if you bought all 5 color packs would be $58.20.  Right now you could purchase all of them for $29.10, a 50% savings.

November Technique Club- Melted Crayon & Wax Paper Resist

This is a Technique that uses melted crayon in different colors that I picked to match up somewhat with some of our colors.  All the other items used were from the current Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog.  I stamped the pine tree from the "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set found on page 110, ink used was Stazon Jet Black page 190, Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon page 182 & More Mustard brads from page 179.  The brads seem to look really good with these colors specially the Pumpkin Pie. The cardstock is very vanilla, pumpkin pie, chocolate chip & old olive. 

This started with wax paper.  The rest of the items were all found in the current Stampin Up Idea Book & catalog except for the old olive button that just retired this summer and the platinum shimmer paint from page 27 of the Holiday Mini Catalog.  The stamp set used is Best Wishes & More page 64, Real Red grosgrain page 183, the 1 3/4 Circle punch & the Designer Label Punch from pages 186 & 187.  Cardstock was Real Red, Old Olive, Night of Navy & Glossy White.  The brayer from page 192 used Old Olive ink. 

I think both techniques & the 6x6 scrapbook page with instructions were enjoyed by all.  Unfortunately I was sick this last weekend & could not do my technique club or Christmas stamp camp down in West Des Moines, IA so it will have wait until this next weekend. 

November Scrapbook Club layout

Okay, you saw the post about using My Digital Studio to come up with my scrapbook layout for my Hostess Club this month.  This page uses the stamp set called Happy Everything from page 142 & Think Happy Thoughts from page 144 of the current catalog.  I did use some retired colored buttons.  I also used a 5/8" silver jumbo brad from page 179 of our current catalog.

This page uses the same circle from the Think Happy Thoughts stamp set.  Also used is a Star Designer Brad from page 179 of the current catalog.  I also cased the cute little punched robot & balloons from a demonstrators blog but can not find her name any longer.  If I find it I will add it later.  If anyone else knows who it is, please let me know.  I did change the colors & the robot a little from hers.  I hope you enjoy.

Guest Artist- Jackie Berggren

Twick or Tweet Treat received at my day job last Friday in Waterloo, IA. 

Jackie gave all of us this very cute treat using the Twick or Tweet stamp set from the Holiday Mini catalog.  I am not sure where the bat stamp is from & the ribbon is not Stampin' Up! but isn't it adorable?

My Digital Studio (MDS) used to design my Hostess Scrapbook Club layout

 My Digital Studio has 8 Designer Templates you can use for Scrapbooking by just dragging & dropping photos on the pages.  You can also take them & change them any way you want.  Deleting & adding items.  Below is 2 of the 12 pages in a Birthday Template.  I started with these 2 layouts & played with them to come up with my layout for my Hostess Scrapbook Club.  You can see how I changed them below.

You can change the color of your background paper with a few clicks.  You can add stamping & embellishments.  Doing this saved me from trying to come up with a layout & possibly wasting cardstock for a layout that didn't work out.  This layout is not exactly what I came up with in the end but some of the elements are.  I will show you the actual layout another day soon.  The birthday cake I tried to do with punches on the program but when I actually tried them out with real punches it did not work.  I ended up using a different element in that spot.  Watch for the next post.

My Digital Studio (MDS) Card Share

I have been taking classes online with Stampin' Up! to get certified on the My Digital Studio software.  One of the requirements was to make a card with the software & get it printed through Stampin' Up!'s printer.  This is the card I designed.  I have received the card back in the mail & some of you have been able to view it.  What did you think of it?  When I have a chance I am going to print it on our Whisper White cardstock so I can compare the printing.  The card uses the Upsy Daisy & Heard from the Heart brush stamp sets.  Also used are Designer Paper, grosgrain ribbon & brads all from Stampin' Up.
