You might ask why I would go to our Leadership Conference. There are so many reasons but here are a few:
- I have met so many new friends from all over the United States and Canada. When we get together we share things we have tried and what worked and didn't work. We also help each other with questions or are cheerleaders to each other even when we are not together. You can never have enough friends.
- I get to go visit places I have never been before. Some of these places are Palm Springs, Memphis, Houston & San Antonio.
- It is a wonderful investment and we get to learn not only from Stampin' Up! employees but from top demonstrators. This training can be brought back home to share with our downline.
- I learn how to use some of our new products so I can share with my customers.
So I am going to share some of the classes I took at Leadership this year.
Why Women Buy Carrie Cudney
I thought this was interesting as they stated a woman is more likely to buy from a demonstrator if we establish a relationship of trust and demonstrate genuine and personal interest in her. Stampin' Up! has always been about the relationships. That is why they have demonstrators. We are there to meet their customers and show them how to use the products. They could just sell their product online for anyone to purchase but that is not what the company is about.
Including A New Generation in Your Stamping Business Amy Swartz
This class talked about the Baby Boomers, Generation X and Generation Y. They gave us stats of how many demonstrators are in what generation and how we need to tap into Generation X and Y more to keep the company growing. It also discussed going out of your comfort zone and the best way to connect with them.
Title Benefits Bonnie Thurber
I just love listening to Bonnie. She is so funny but gets her points across while doing it. She went over our current benefits for being a Sr. Supervisor and then what we would get for promoting to Manager. She also went over stats of how many people are meeting all the requirements but maybe 1.
Retaining & Engaging Your Downline Donna Griffith and Demonstrator Patsy Waggoner
I loved this class as not only did Patsy go over what she does at her downline meetings giving us more ideas but I also found out I could go to SurveyMonkey.com and do a free survey to my customers or downline if there are 10 questions or less.
As I stated this is only part of why I love going to any of the Stampin' Up! events. Some day I hope to have downline join me at Convention or Leadership so they can experience this themselves.
Thanks for reading, Michele
