I am sending a quick note to all my stamper friends. You might have noticed I have not been anything on my blog right now & have no dates for Open Stamping etc set up. I am having some computer problem & am also working on my taxes so with that said I will probably not have any stamping events until April. As soon as they are done I will get busy & get things set up & an email out to all. Thank you for your patience.
I am still doing a Mystery Hostess Catalog Party. Anyone wanting to put in a Saleabration order but who may not be part of a club or attending a workshop prior to the end of March can just email me an order at email@example.com by Wednesday, March 21st & I will put them all in together. I will also draw for 1 person to be the Hostess. This person will get the cute Stampin Up Tote shown on page 3 of the Saleabration Brochure along with the $25.00 in Hostess Dollars or more depending on the total. In addition, the Mystery Hostess will also be invited to attend my annual Hostess Appreciation Event which I am planning on having in May this year.
Hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather & hope to see you all really soon, Michele
Here is another card using the I Dig You stamp set that Nancy stamped a month ago at Open Stamping. She is definately missed. Thanks for sharing your card Nancy and hurry home.
Stampin Up Products used: I Dig You stamp set, Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack, Modern Label Punch, Corner Punch, Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, 5/16" Neutrals Jumbo Brads
Here is my March Technique called Enameled Glass. I love the look of this. The shine comes from Crystal Effects so you have to give it a little time to let it dry. It is an Easel card that sets up to show it off. It is propped up by the 3 little flowers on the inside of the card.
This uses a stamp set I actually received free at Leadership Conference this year. On top of that I just found out a week ago that just for putting up posts about Leadership on my blog I was choosen to pick another free stamp set. I could pick any stamp set from the catalog or the mini catalog. I finally picked it out & ordered it tonight. I chose Bring on the Cake as you never have enough words do you?
Stampin' Up! products used: Crystal Effects, several circle punches, dimensionals, Stampin Up stamp set Raining Flowers, You're a Gem stamp set, Boho Blossom punch, Basic RhinestonesTangerine Tango 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon.
The first March Technique Club project is Faux Iris Folding. I received a Leadership Swap card from Michelle Halleen that used the same colors & layout except she had a hole in the middle of hers with a Basic Pearl there & I filled in the hole with the paper. She also used a Texturz Plate on the red & in one I didn't use anything & the one on the right I used the Elegant Lines Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. She also used different words & cardstock for the Modern Label Punch. I used 2 different stamp sets I just received in the mail. One is a free Salebrations stamp set called Elementary Elegance and the other is You're a Gem. The Designer Series Paper used is also a free Saleabrations item called Everyday Enchantment. Love it.
This technique is really nice for using up scraps of cardstock & Designer Series Paper. I already held my club in West Des Moines, IA & will hold it here in Waterloo this week.
